Reserve Bank of India (RBI) recruits the citizens of India for 98 Officers in Grade 'B'. Candidates have to prepare well for the exam for being appointed and for this the section of RBI Grade B Officer Syllabus will help the candidates.
RBI Grade B Officer Exam 2013 Syllabus & Pattern

RBI Grade B Officer Examinations will be held in two phases [Phase-I ON-LINEExamination (Objective Type) and Phase-II Written Examination (Descriptive type)] as under:

Phase-I Online Examination (Objective Type): The Online Examination will be for 200 marks with 3 hours duration and is tentatively scheduled to be held on, the August 17/24/25, 2013. There will be 4 tests in online exam , which includes the following,

i) General Awareness
ii) English Language
iii) Quantitative Aptitude
iv) Reasoning

Total Questions: 200
Total Marks: 200
Total Duration: 3 hours

The candidates are required to qualify in each part of the Objective test separately.

Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted in Phase-I of the On Line Examination ('OE') will be published on RBI’s official website in September/ October 2013.

Candidates, who secure minimum marks separately for each Test, as prescribed, will be shortlisted for Phase-II of the Examination based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Objective Test.

Phase-II Written Examination (Descriptive Type): The Phase-II Written examination (WE) is tentatively scheduled to be held in October/ November 2013 only for those candidates who are shortlisted for the same. The date and time-table will be intimated to the candidates concerned at the appropriate time.

RBI Grade B Officer Phase-II Examination will consist of three Descriptive Type papers, which includes the following,

(i) Paper I – English
(ii) Paper II – Economic and Social Issues
(iii) Paper III – Finance and Management.

Each of these papers is of 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks.

Papers II and III of Phase-II can be answered either wholly in Hindi or in English at the candidate's option.

Interview: Candidates will be short-listed for interview based on the aggregate marks obtained only in Phase-II – Papers I, II and III.

Final selection will be on the basis of candidate's performance in Phase-II of the Examination and Interview taken together.

  9. you can go through any bank preparation books for phase I
    however for phase II you can have NCERT books of 11th,12th of bus.studies , economics. few topics you'll get in the books of CA entrance examinations(CPT) . ask the students who have cleared this section to lend u these books, as they get them free with their course.

  10. rbi bahut tough hai, tumme se kisi ka nahi hoga selection, sirf jo 3 -4 sal se upsc ki preparation kar raha hai usi ka hoga, so dont waste your time, try for IBPS - PO

  13. @Deepika gupta: We can't say anything about number of questions. Last time there were 80 questions on General Awareness, 30 on Quant, 30 on English and 60 from Reasoning.

  14. @ Ayush Garg, I think your information is incorrect; as there were 50 questions from General Awareness 40 from both English and QA and 80 questions from Reasoning. Total 210 questions...
